Cheese bread is a common dish found all over Brazil. Made with tapioca starch, eggs and cheese giving it a crunchy texture with a soft dough centre.
How to prepare:
- Place the content of the sachet in a medium size bowl, add 200ml of water and 4 eggs.
- Mix well until the liquid is absorbed by the dough. Keep working the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Make small balls and place them on a nonstick backing tray leaving space around them to allow expansion.
- Place try into a preheated oven (350F / 180C) for 25 minutes or until golden.
Hints and tips:
For convenience the rolled mini dough-balls can be frozen and baked later from frozen.
Each 500g makes roughly 52 to 56 units around 3 cm in diameter, or 90 to 100 party-size units around 2cm in diameter before baking.
To make without the use of eggs, use Orgran Natural Egg Replacer when preparing the mix.
