Toasted Cassava Flour
Toasted Cassava Flour is of the most consumed flours in Brazil and it is served along with beans or meats. It is the main ingredient in the Brazilian food culture.
Cooking and serving Toasted Cassava Flour by the Authentic Brazilian way (Farofa para churrasco):
500g of Authentic Brazilian Toasted Cassava Flour
2 tablespoons of butter or olive/vegetable oil
Half a medium size chopped onion
2 bulbs of fresh chopped garlic or 1 teaspoon or garlic puree
Salt and red pepper to taste
How to prepare:
- In a sauce pan fry onion, garlic in olive oil until golden then add the Toasted Cassava Flour.
- Gently cook on a low heat for 3 minutes.
Serving suggestion: As a side dish with barbecued meats.
