The following is a basic
recipe for farofa. But you can "fancy" it up with the addition of eggs,
bacon, sausage or bananas! Saute the additional ingredients in the butter
before you add the flour.
4 tablespoons of butter
3 cups manioc flour
Salt to taste
Melt the butter in a heavy
skillet. Add manioc meal and cook over low heat stirring constantly until
golden. Sprinkle with salt, to taste. Serve with feijoada.
