Pitanga
500ml bottle of Pitanga
(Surinam cherry) concentrate juice. Native fruit from Brazil, it is readily
found in all the regions of the country. Its Brazilian name, pitanga, comes
from a Tupi word "pyrang", which means “red”.
Nutrition Proprieties
Rich in Vitamins B (B1,
B2 ),C, Calcium, Iron and Phosphorus . Pitanga has a substance called Licopen
(the reason for its intense red color) which is a powerful anti-oxidizer,
shown to be very efficient against degenerative diseases, such as cancer.
