Originally grown in Central
America, Sour sop is now found and has adapted well to Northeastern Brazil’s
hot and humid climate. The Sour Sop fruit is not generally eaten raw, but
blended with lime and sugar it makes a delicious juice..
Nutrition Proprieties
Because of its contents
in carbohydrates the Sour Sop can be classified as an energizer fruit,
it has a significant content of vitamins such as B1 and B2 and C and minerals
such Calcium, Phosphor, Iron.
Uses
The pulp is used in the
preparation of juices and ice creams. Mixed with other fruits, it is often
used for mousses, jellies and other desserts.
Frozen Pulp Preparation
